Thomas and Uber cup : chances for India to create history

One of the coveted badminton tournament – Thomas and Uber cup has been scheduled to be held from April 24 to May 3 at Horsens , Denmark.

india has been placed in a relatively easy group. The men’s indian team are placed in Group A along with top seeds China. Canada and Australia are the two remaining teams in the group. It is expected that Indian squad will sail into the quarter finals without any difficulties.

However, the group for the Indian women is comparable a little tougher. As they have to overcome the hurdles like Ukraine and Denmark.

Badminton Association of India secretary general Sanjay Mishra sounded very optimistic tone. “Indian teams are very young and talented. They are quite capable of creating any kind of miracles,” said Mishra.

indian men’s team created history by lifting the Thomas Cup in 2022 whereas the women’s team were the bronze medalists in 2014 and 2016 editions.
