Modi urges BJP karyakartas in Keralam to follow Sanju Samson

It’s election season in Keralam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged BJP workers and karyakartas in the state to take lessons from Sanju Samson, who almost single handedly guided team India to victory in the recently concluded men’s T20 World Cup.

It is to be noted that Sanju Samson, too, hail from Keralam and has become a state icon following his blasts with his willow.

“Focus, confidence and intensity are the keys for anyone to achieve success and you can see the results in your state icon Sanju Samson,” said Prime Minister Modi while boosting the morale of BJP workers in the state.

Sanju Samson was named player of the tournament following his heroics. His focus, confidence and intensity increased when it mattered the most.

Samson totalled 321 runs in the world cup. The highest by any Indian batter in a single edition of a world cup surpassing Virat Kohli’s 319 runs in the 2014 world cup. He hit 27 Bound aries and 24 over boundaries.

In the super eight match against the West Indies, which turned out to be a virtual quarter final, Samson scored a fine unbeaten 97 and guiding his team to the semi finals where they faced England. Samson again rose to the occasion scoring 89 and carried India to the title clash against New Zealand. He repeated the score again and India became the first team to lift back to back world cup trophies.
