In a sharp attack union minister Giriraj Singh accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of doing appeasement politics instead of focusing on poverty, unemployment and inequality.
Speaking to the fourth estate Singh said that the sole objective of WB CM is to remain in power and thereby she is focusing on “Tushtikaran”. She spends her time appeasing a particular community with the objective of consolidating her vote bank.
“Have anyone saw her speaking on poverty, unemployment and inequality? The answer is no. She wants to remain in power by any means making a particular community happy,” said Singh.
Singh also alleged that complete impartial elections can’t be held in West Bengal till she and her government is in power.
Law and order are collapsing in West Bengal, incidents of rape, molestation are on the rise. Huge question mark is there on women’s safety, so many teachers lost their jobs after the court ruling. “Did anyone heard her addressing these key issues? No. ” said the union minister.
Currently politics in West Bengal has been heated up with the imposition of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) by the election commission. Mamata, these days, is busy in castigating the EC. She is blaming the poll body of acting on the whims of BJP.
In a recent development seven judicial officers including three women were abducted in Maldah district of West Bengal. “West Bengal Chief minister didn’t speak a word on this,” said the union minister.
West Bengal is going to polls on April 23 and 29 with the results scheduled to be announced on May 4
