Fuel crisis : SP slam the bureaucrats

Modi government got a boost from an unexpected quarter. Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Gopal Yadav has attacked the bureaucrats while giving relief to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

What did Ram Gopal Yadav say ?

Speaking to the media, the SP leader said the Prime Minister is feeded with “wrong data” by the high ranking officers. And for this the government claims are not matching with the ground reality. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been fed with incorrect info and for this he is claiming no shortage of LPG cylinders while there are long queues in front of LPG offices,” said the SP leader who is also the uncle of SP president Akhilesh Yadav.

PM’s claim

At an event in Bharat Mandapam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that infrastructure has been created to increase the access to energy. “We don’t have to rely on foreign sources and that we have emphasized self reliance,” said the Prime Minister. Modi also commented that some are trying to create ‘panic’ among the masses to simply pursue their own agenda. This situation has arrived due to the ongoing tension in the middle east. “Everyone has been affected due to this crisis and efforts are on to overcome hurdles into the supply chain,” added the Prime Minister.

Role of Delhi government

Government of Delhi, couple of days ago, claimed that there is no shortage of any kind of fuel. Officials of Chief Minister made a statement that supply of LPG, Petrol, Diesel are completely normal. Rumour are been spread to create panic amongst the masses and Delhi government has urged the common people to ignore this kind of rumours. On Wednesday, a meeting was called and attended by Chief Secretary of Delhi (who presided the meeting), senior officials of the food, supply and consumer affairs, Delhi police, revenue department , officials of Indraprastha Gas Limited and other oil marketing companies. In that meeting it was decided that spreading of any kind of rumours won’t in tolerated. Already a rumour has hit the market that war like situation in west Asia would result in a crisis of LPG cylinders.
