Every drop of water need to be preserved : Odisha CM

Women has been entrusted with a noble responsibility of preservation of water. This initiative has been taken by Mohan Charan Majhi government in Odisha.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion of world water day, the Chief Minister said that today’s theme will be Water and Gender.

“Ongoing conflicts between nations, excessive rainfall and severe draughts have created in imbalance of the natural resource all across the world,” said Chief Minister Majhi.

Every arrangements are made towards water conservation, irrigation and providing pure drinking water by the Odisha government.

The conflicts between the nations, rise of Global Warming, severe rainfall in some places accompanied by draughts have caused an imbalance of availability of water – the greatest natural resource.

Since 1993 World water day has been celebrated every year on March 22.
