App to tackle cyber crime launched in Haryana

A new mobile app has been launched by the Haryana police to prevent cyber crime in the state. The app known as Abhedya App will have the capacity to block suspicious international calls, voice notes and messages linked with extortion attempts.

This will reduce digital fraud and prevent the gangsters from carrying out their operation from abroad.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini came down heavily on the digital arrest fraud and cyber related crimes in the state. Banks have been alerted to follow dual OTP system.

This app is now under Pilot testing position

in Jhajjar, a nine year old boy abducted for a ransom of ₹5 crore was rescued within 24 hours. Several gang members were arrested in the process.

In Panipat, the cops tracked an extortion case involving a businessman from threatening letters to the accused persons located in Ujjain and Bhopal.

In another incident Haryana police in association with Punjab police arrested a murder accused.
