Sashi Tharoor confident of a Congress win in Keralam

Senior Congress leader in Keralam, Sashi Tharoor has expressed confidence of a Congress led United Democratic Front (UDF) victory in the upcoming assembly polls in the state.

“I think this is an election we should win,” said Tharoor. However, he expressed his concern over the poll dates. “There are lot of new candidates who need a warm up before the date of the election and this warm up period is very less.” he added.

Date of polls in Keralam

The southern state of Keralam is scheduled to go into elections on April 9. It will be a single phase election. While the counting will take place on May 4.

Congress has released their first list of candidates yesterday. BJP also released their names.

Trends in Keralam

In Keralam the government changes every five years. Left Democratic Front (LDF) created history by retaining power in 2021.

Main fight

In Keralam the tussle is basically between the ruling LDF and the UDF. And now the BJP is also emerging gradually.
