At least four Palestinians have died in Gaza as Israeli attacks on the territory continue, more than a year after a ceasefire took effect, according to Al Jazeera, which drew on reporting from Anadolu.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says 1,580 Palestinians have been killed since the truce began in October 2025.
Deaths reported on Saturday
Israel carried out several attacks in Gaza on Saturday, including shelling of the Nuseirat refugee camp. Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that a Palestinian teacher, Diaa Abu al-Rous, was killed there.
Separately, a man named Arafat al-Arair died of serious injuries suffered days earlier, when Israel struck a vehicle in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood, southwest of Gaza City. A medical source at al-Shifa Hospital confirmed his death.
Two girls also died on Saturday from injuries they suffered the previous evening, when their tent caught fire at a camp for displaced people in al-Mawasi, in Khan Younis. Nasser Medical Complex confirmed their deaths. The cause of the fire is not clear.
Toll since the ceasefire
The Health Ministry said at least six Palestinians were killed in Gaza over the past 48 hours and another 26 were injured. Since the ceasefire came into effect, it says, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,580 people and injured 5,711.
The UN human rights office (OHCHR) warned on Friday that Israeli forces in Gaza are continuing to displace Palestinians. It said their actions continue to raise concerns of ethnic cleansing. The office said Palestinians are increasingly being pushed into a shrinking area of the territory and that Israeli forces are destroying what remains of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
Al Jazeera reports that the Israeli military is working to expand its control over Gaza to 70 percent of the territory, following an order from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in May.
Reporting from Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum said Israel was targeting civilians in order to displace people from the city. He said people who left their homes in the eastern part of Deir el-Balah have told him that the Israeli military moved the yellow demarcation line by opening fire on civilians to push them out of those areas.
Peace talks stalled
Talks on permanently ending the war under United States President Donald Trump’s peace plan have stalled, according to the report. Reconstruction has not begun amid disputes between Hamas and Israel over how the plan should be carried out.
Hamas says it will not fully disarm until Israel withdraws entirely from Gaza. Israel maintains that it will not leave the territory until Hamas gives up its weapons.
